Too Much Fun:The Fun-Filled Spirit of Parking Lot

"Have you ever seen a rose growing off a rock?" - Parking Lot

First shot of the day
First shot of the day

Some songs are just songs and others can embody the grit, grind, and passion behind their creation. My new track, *Parking Lot,* is a reflection of how far I’ve come and the mindset that keeps me pushing forward.

Fun fact, I originally wrote this song to Travis Scott and DJ Mustard’s track of the same name. Crazy how inspiration works sometimes, right?

Produced by Triple A Beats and recorded at the legendary Secret Weapon Sound Studios in Toronto, *Parking Lot* is the third release off my *Activated* EP. It’s more than just music. It’s an anthem for living freely and enjoying the journey. The visuals capture that same energy, featuring me and a few close friends in the parking lot of Canada’s Wonderland with a Tesla Cybertruck dancing, having fun and turning up.

When I wrote *Parking Lot,* I wanted to show my skill as songwriter and lyricist. Confident, playful, but full of depth. The lyrics speak for themselves:

*They know I’m top 10 / They never chose me / I had to opt in*

This line is personal. It’s about the moments when the odds were stacked against me, and I had to carve out my own lane. *Parking Lot* is me telling the world that I didn’t wait to be chosen. I took control of my destiny, even when it felt like I was boxed in.

But the song isn’t just about defiance. It’s about love, resilience, and the journey. Writing has always been therapy for me. The second verse gets real:

Music isn’t just something I make. It’s a reflection of my soul. The process of writing this song reminded me why I fell in love with hip-hop in the first place. It gives me the freedom to tell my truth and the chance to inspire others to embrace theirs.

The hook? That’s where the heart of the track lies:

*We’re having too much fun in the parking lot / Drop that pin, I’ma show you the spot.*

To me, the parking lot represents a space of freedom and possibility. It’s a place where big ideas start, where risks are taken, and where anything can happen. It’s where I found clarity, inspiration, and the drive to keep going. When i was in high school the Tim Hortons parking lot was the chill spot.

This song is also a nod to the underdogs and dreamers. *Have you ever seen a rose growing off a rock?* That’s my story. Turning obstacles into opportunities and thriving where nobody thought it was possible.

As I continue to evolve artistically, I can feel the difference in my writing. The bars are sharper, the metaphors hit harder, and my confidence is unshakable. With *Parking Lot,* I want listeners to feel that energy, to hear my love for this craft and to be inspired to chase their own greatness no matter what stands in their way.

So, what’s next? Hit play on *Parking Lot*, watch the visuals on youtube and drop a pin to join the vibe. We’re just getting started.
