Some songs come together as anthems, others as reflections, and some as turning points in an artist’s journey. Make It Official is all three. This record is more than just a track it’s a statement, a vibe, and an evolution in my artistry.
The Evolution: Perfect Timing
The journey of Make It Official actually started long before its release. This song was the original idea that later became Perfect Timing featuring JRDN. When I first wrote Make It Official aka Perfect Team, I was capturing the emotions and thoughts around commitment, but as the creative process unfolded, it evolved into Perfect Timing and became a different take on the same theme.
After releasing Perfect Timing, I couldn’t shake the feeling that the original version still had something special to offer. I revisited it, refined it, and brought it back to life in its truest form as Make It Official. This is the process of making music—ideas evolve, concepts grow, and songs transform into something new. A lot of artists are afraid to revisit their old work, but I believe in taking what’s already great and pushing it even further. Listeners love discovering different versions of songs, and digital streaming platforms (DSPs) give us the perfect way to showcase that evolution. Music is alive, and Make It Official is proof of how a song can start in one place and find its true form over time.

The Inspiration: A Man’s Perspective on Commitment
In a world where relationships often feel temporary, Make It Official is about embracing commitment, growth, and maturity as a man. It’s about recognizing the right person and stepping up to build something real.
What makes this song unique is its focus on monogamy—something not often explored in hip-hop. While many rap songs glorify the single life or avoid commitment, Make It Official takes a different route. It’s about choosing one person, embracing loyalty, and making a conscious decision to build something lasting. In a genre where commitment isn’t always the norm, this song stands as a bold and refreshing perspective.
The Beat: Triple A’s Signature Sound
Behind the boards for this track is none other than Triple A Beats, a producer I’ve vibed with for years. His signature sound—a fusion of smooth melodies, knocking drums, and just the right amount of bounce—set the perfect tone for this record.
Sonically, Make It Official blends UK drill elements with R&B, creating a sound that sits somewhere between Central Cee’s melodic flow, the smoothness of artists like Jorja Smith and Dave, and the introspective lyricism of J. Cole. When Triple A sent me the beat, I knew immediately it was special. The chords had a nostalgic warmth, but the drums kept it fresh and modern. I sat with it, freestyled a bit, and the words started flowing. The chorus came first—simple, direct, and real. From there, the verses told the story of stepping up, choosing love, and leaving the games behind.
The Goal: A Song That Resonates
More than just a dope track, Make It Official is meant to be relatable. Whether you’re thinking about putting a title on something, proposing, or just stepping up in your relationship, this song speaks to that moment.
From a marketing standpoint, I wanted to target the right audience—listeners who appreciate storytelling, vibes, and authenticity. R&B heads, hip-hop fans, lovers of real music—this one’s for you.
I’ve also been intentional about making sure this song reaches the right ears—whether through social media clips, DSP playlisting, or community engagement. The goal is to create a conversation around commitment, love, and leveling up as a person.

Make It Official is available now on all streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and YouTube Music. Tap in, add it to your playlist, and share it with someone who needs to hear it.
