HAIKU II: Poetry in Pain & Rhythm in Reflection

When I wrote Haiku II I wasn’t trying to make a radio hit or follow a trend I just needed to say something real.
The lyric that i kept coming back to was “Gave her three lines but she nothing like a Haiku.” It hit me like a shot of Wray & Nephew cause it was sharp and layered. On the surface, it’s a slick bar. But if you’ve been through something real, you know it’s deeper than that. I’m talking about those moments where you're trying to elevate someone, give them something poetic… but they’re chasing something else entirely.
This track was produced by Triple A Beats, who’s basically family at this point. We’ve built a sound together over the years. From Activated to BFA, Make It Official, and Last of the Mohicans. Every time we link, there’s this unspoken trust. He lays down the foundation, and I bring the story. Haiku II is another chapter in that book — moody, minimal, and powerful.
The production lives in the silence between the notes. Every word is intentional, like a poem. Like a Haiku. But this isn’t just a heartbreak song. It’s about self-awareness. It’s about growth. About how we romanticize people who were never meant to be poems in our lives, they were only lessons.
This one’s for anyone who’s ever tried to turn chaos into art. Who’s ever tried to find rhythm in the wreckage.
Press play. Sit with it. And if it stings a little… it was supposed to
